About Joyride Pizza, Market St

Stop by for classic Detroit-style pizza. Hand built, speedy service.

Joyride Pizza, Market St is a pizza restaurant in San Francisco, California. It is listed at 685 Market St Ste 120, San Francisco, CA 94105, which places it among the local businesses of San Francisco that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–11 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Joyride Pizza, Market St at (415) 295-2914; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is joyridepizza.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Visited here at 9pm as there was nothing else nearby and ordered one of the pizzas. Service was quick and friendly but for the price ($35) for a personal pizza it was Meh!! Whipped cream giving a sweet taste didn’t go well with pizza. I was starving but only had half.

Perfect QUALITY pizza, just pricey. fresh from the oven- wow it’s amazing. 3 of us shared a pizza (which retails for $27) on the orange benches outside (admiring the bustle of the city streets) and that was enough because we’d had ample snacks beforehand. If this is a full meal… either a single person or two people could finish it in one sitting (probably).

Ordered delivery from Joyride Pizza through DoorDash while staying in San Francisco. I originally wanted to order one of their signature pizzas, but it honestly wasn’t very clear which options were fully vegan and which weren’t, so I ended up just building my own to be safe. One thing that was frustrating was trying to call the restaurant beforehand. Their AI phone system kept asking if I wanted to speak to a manager, but every time I said yes, nobody answered and it pushed me to voicemail. That part was pretty annoying and felt unnecessarily difficult for a simple question about the menu. As for the pizza itself, it was solid overall. Not the best vegan or plant based pizza I’ve ever had, but definitely good enough that I’d consider ordering again. The pizza arrived a little messy and shifted around in the box β€” probably more on the DoorDash driver than the restaurant β€” but the flavor was still there. My wife actually liked it more than I did. Overall: decent vegan pizza option in SF, especially late night, but clearer vegan labeling and a better phone system would improve the experience a lot.

While walking around Salesforce park, we saw that there was an event happening where they had joyride pizza and it looked so good we had to get it, so walked over to this location. We got the cheese pizza and the sweet heat pineapple pizza. Cheese pizza was ok, I’ve had better, the Parmesan cheese on top didn’t help it. The sweet heat pineapple was pretty good, I loveddd the hot honey on there and the crust was so different and unique! Really wanted to try and see what peppercini is but we had only one piece on two slices (which ended up falling) so I’m still curious what that tastes like. I’d just like the jalapeΓ±os to be a bit spicer on this pizza and then I think it’d be better!

Best goddamn pizza ever. Detroit style rips, crispy bottom with a perfect ricotta topping. Small hole in the wall vibes with quick service. Will go again bc they had several interesting flavors.
